Description
Rapeseed oil is a yellow liquid with a neutral taste and smell. It is obtained by slightly heating the seeds and then crushing them. The crude rapeseed oil is further refined to improve color, taste and shelf life.
Rapeseed oil can be heated to 204°C during refining, after which it starts to burn from the high temperature. Unsaturated fatty acids found in rapeseed oil are essential for the proper functioning of the body. Additionally, refined oil is rich in vitamins A, D, E and K.

Rapeseed oil is mainly used in the food industry, where due to its neutral taste it is used to increase the moisture of pastry products without changing their taste. Additionally, it contains essential fatty acids and retains its fluidity even at lower temperatures. Rapeseed oil is used for frying, cooking or baking, as an addition to salads, marinades, sauces or cocktails.
In the cosmetics industry, rapeseed oil is an emollient. In skin and hair care products, it creates a film on their surface that prevents excessive evaporation of water from the surface, positively affecting the condition of the skin and hair. It can also be an ingredient in hypoallergenic products, as it is a mild ingredient, allowing use in cosmetic products for sensitive skin.
In the pharmaceutical industry, the product is a component of dermatological ointments against skin inflammation, because thanks to the appropriate ratio of omega-6 and omega-3 fatty acids it helps reduce inflammation. It is also a filler in soft gelatin capsules.
Rapeseed oil is widely used as diesel fuel, biodiesel. Due to its good performance at low temperatures, stability under high temperatures and ability to prevent foaming, it is also found in the production of biodegradable oils and lubricants, as a base for paints and varnishes or for plasticizers, surfactants and pesticides.
