Description

Hemp protein is a fine, grey-light green powder with a mesh size of 200 μm, with a characteristic smell and nutty taste. The product is obtained from the seeds of the Cannabis Sativa plant, the Finola variety. The production process consists of cleaning, dehydrating and pasteurizing the hemp seeds, and then cold-pressing at a maximum temperature of 40 ° C. The extracted oil is mechanically ground and sieved to obtain the smallest protein particles without thermal or chemical treatment.

Hemp protein is rich in fiber, omega 3, 6, 9 fatty acids, and vegan. It is also hypoallergenic, so it can be used in lactose-free, gluten-free, and soy-free diets. Conventional hemp protein is characterized by high levels of arginine – almost 12% compared to an average of 7% in other proteins derived from wheat, rice, or soy. Hemp proteins also have functional properties, such as foaming, emulsifying, gelling, and oil binding.

The product is GMO-free and produced in the EU.
