What Is MCT Oil Powder？

MCT (Medium-chain Triglycerides) powder is a microencapsulated powder formed by esterifying medium-chain fatty acids (C8-C12) with glycerol. Its main components include caprylic acid (C8:0) and capric acid (C10:0), with a fat content of ≥50%. Its raw materials are mostly derived from coconut oil and palm kernel oil. It is produced through emulsification and spray drying technology. It has the characteristics of instant cold water solubility, strong antioxidant properties, and a light flavor.

Medium chain triglycerides (MCTs) are partially man-made fats. MCTs are generally made by processing coconut and palm kernel oils in the laboratory. Usual dietary fats, by comparison, are long-chain triglycerides.

Medium Chain Tryglycerides (MCT) are derived from natural plant oils, and are classed as fatty acids. They are very different to typical fatty acids and contain a much lower calorie content. MCTs are readily absorbed, more so resembling a carbohydrate than a fat source.
