Description
Urea is highly hygroscopic and occurs in the form of white granules. It is white, crystalline and odourless. It does not dissolve in fats. It usually occurs in concentrations of 45%, 40% and 30%. Carbamide has strong antiseptic, exfoliating and regenerating effects. It also has keratolytic properties – it splits keratin chains, which helps to reduce the thickness of the stratum corneum.
